We worked in partnership with Freshwest to design a satellite studio space for The Restaurant and Bar Design Awards team. 

The building perches on the banks of the Teifi river in the centre of Newcastle Emlyn, West Wales.  The studio’s form and exterior cladding, exclusively corrugated iron, is inspired by the patchwork language of the agricultural buildings in the area and their contrast with the soft tonalities of the surrounding landscape. 

Rivershed aims to challenge the conventions of alignment, to create a softer geometric form which responds not only to its internal functions as a studio, but also to to its environment, especially with water and movement in mind.
